-Brian will be presenting an overview of the new Ecological Review Section of the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services and an update on the status of the threatened and endangered species in-lieu fee program.

Session 3B: USACE Regulatory Division & Nationwide Permits
Speaker: Michael Wierbonics, USACE
-This presentation will focus on the New England District’s transition from state specific Regional General Permits to the Corps Nationwide Permits (NWPs).  NWPs are general permits issued on a nationwide basis to streamline the authorization of activities that result in no more than minimal individual and cumulative adverse environmental effects.  Many of the NWPs require notification to the district engineer before commencing those activities, to ensure that the activities authorized by those NWPs cause no more than minimal individual and cumulative adverse environmental effects.
