Session 12A: Historic Bridge Inventory Update
Speaker: Jillian Edelman, NHDOT
-This presentation will provide an update to using NH’s Historic Bridge Inventory and Management Plan. The focus will be on utilizing the information within the HBI and how it can be applied to projects and scoping efforts. This session will provide real-time demonstration of the database and its applicability.

Session 12B: Monarch Butterfly
Speakers: Jamie O'Brien, Normandeau Associates, Inc.; Heidi Holman, NHF&G
-Part 1: The monarch butterfly is a well-known and beloved sight each summer in New Hampshire. This session will discuss the butterfly’s life cycle, threats to the species, the USFWS listing process and the nationwide strategy to maintain the phenomenon of the amazing monarch migration.

Part 2 of the Monarch Butterfly presentation will focus on the benefits of the Monarch Candidate Conservation Agreement with Assurances (CCAA) on Energy and Transportation Lands and the process of preparing the NH Department of Transportation (NHDOT) application. The Monarch CCAA is a Nationwide agreement with the US Fish and Wildlife Service to address the conservation needs of at-risk species before they become listed as endangered or threatened. The benefits to both the monarch butterfly and enrolled participants will be discussed.
