2026 ACEC-NH & NHDOT Technical Exchange Conference has ended
Thursday April 16, 2026 2:00pm - 3:00pm EDT
Session 11A: Conway 41755 Multi-Use Path Project
Speaker: Thomas Jameson, NHDOT; Burr Phillips, Civil Solutions; Chris Meier, Mt. Washington Valley Trails
-This project was a partnership between the town of Conway and the Mount Washington Valley Trail Association.  The design and construction were a private public partnership using MWVTA funds and Federal Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ) funds.  The project is situated along the Conway Bypass Corridor, town of Conway land, and an easement from Cranmore Mountain Resort.  This project connects the large shopping and restaurant area called Settlers Green to Cranmore Mountain Resort.  This path allows walkers, bike riders, cross country skiers, and snowshoers a safe non-motorized transportation facility to access goods and services in all four seasons.

Session 11B: New Hampshire Seacoast Greenway Updates - Hampton to Portsmouth, NH
Speakers: Tim Whitney, GPI; Matt Franoeur, NHDOT; Alex Brenneman, NHDOT
-This presentation will provide an overview of the unique challenges and ultimate solutions associated with the design and construction of the 9.6-mile section of the NH Seacoast Greenway. 7.9 miles were completed in September 2024, and the 1.7-mile segment within the town of Hampton is expected to achieve substantial completion this spring or summer. You’ll hear from both perspectives of the designer and the NHDOT Construction Bureau. This project had many challenges, including survey, ROW mapping, drainage issues, limited access points, beavers, ROW encroachments, and more!
